Packing and handling method

Packing is layered — bubble wrap for surfaces, corrugated sheeting for edges, stretch film for upholstery and mattresses, foam for glass and mirrors, wooden crates for artwork and speciality electronics.

Cartons are labelled with a room or category code and a short content note so unpacking is orderly. Dismantled fittings and screws are bagged and taped to the parent piece so nothing is missing at reassembly.

Standard inclusions are itemised on the quotation: packing labour, listed packing material, loading, transit, unloading and standard reassembly. Add-ons commonly quoted separately include specialist crates, extended dismantling and reassembly on heavy modular pieces, short-term storage and optional transit-cover.

Exclusions such as electrical wiring rework, plumbing changes, carpentry and heavy structural fittings are named on the quotation. This keeps expectations aligned on moving day.

• Declutter early — cartons you do not need are labour and transit you do not pay for
• Confirm parking, lift and gate-pass permissions at both ends 48 hours ahead
• Keep valuables, jewellery and cash in your personal custody
• Photograph high-value items before pickup and share the inventory with the crew
• Arrange a survival kit with two days of clothing, toiletries and chargers so unpacking is not urgent

Scheduling and lead time

We recommend 7–10 days notice for a scheduled move in quieter months and 2–3 weeks during peak windows (December, Christmas–New Year and April–May school holidays). Shorter timelines can be discussed subject to crew and vehicle availability.

The pickup window and delivery estimate are named in the quotation. Delivery windows on long-haul consignments are scheduled ranges, not fixed dates, and status updates are shared against the assigned transportation arrangement.
